Like a cloudless summer sky,
With a crystalized brightness at the core,
Your baby blues,
Hold me in place.
Mirth bubbling just beneath,
Spilling over into the space in between,
And I watch it spill with
delight…
Another view – stoic focus – the curtain falls,
Shifting almost instantaneously,
To the color of lake water after heavy rain.
The brightness recedes,
Kerosene lamp going inward.
Where are you?
As I bear witness to another island universe,
Transversing time and space.
Oh it’s beautiful
