The muted s t r e t c h i n g pain of mind f o g
Murky waters touching on
almost - thoughts
inside an empty c r a c k e d vessel
Drifting…
From strain to rice grain
To rain and furious sky
Then settling, folding itself like
origami
To fit the mold of a graceful
Crane
C r a n e…
Craning
Like hopeful prayers threaded
By shaking hands with string and needle
Hooking onto lofty ceilings of hushed l i v i n g rooms…
Gravity p u l l i n g heavy pedestals
Held up by moist earth
C r u m b l i n g fragile as
newly formed life…
There
in the curved cusp of a tear drop
against a surface
drip, drip, drip
into disaster...
that is a home
A devastating...
blue walled
Cubist hand
reflecting
A you that I do not know
And one that I do…
But never completely
Through every s i n g l e lifetime
Like blooms of fire
