Layered Fragments, Becoming Whole

A song i didn’t want to play

When I close my eyes
In between waking dreams
A familiar geometric shape
Holds me
Made from the hands of the night sky
Roaming
Rotating like the mechanics of a watch
The ticking muted by a gentle hand
It’s beautiful
Maddeningly so
Like it should continue on in time
Forever
Untouched
As the words well up
Sitting
Cradled in my throat, trembling
So frail - I almost choke it
To death
It shifts and passes through my grasp
in a whisper
So loud - a simple truth
As empty and as full as it is
Can you hear it?
