Layered Fragments, Becoming Whole

Chaotic Good

Bach weaving drama into my head
Through my holy ears
Following musical lines as they criss cross
to an infinite end
All the voices spoke at once
About many things
I floated there…
Understanding r e a c h i n g me at a comma—
I looked up at the ceiling
Sunlight streaming in from under the blinds
Casting light
Like shards of glass
On darken walls
As I lay there
Cotton throw covering my body,
Hands placed on top of each other on my womb
Resting
Resisting sleep
For a deeper truth
marbled cobalt blue painting
Rich oil
Staining organic whites
No chance of it washing out
Holding a resigned complexity,
keeping it as it is
Destroying
Life as I knew it
Resting
into sleep like a deep sigh.
Brahms floating into a waking dream
Soothing thundering feelings
with more feelings
Merging the sharp edges
Into something
Bigger
Much bigger
Than Bach
