Layered Fragments, Becoming Whole

a thing like this exists

If I couldnt grasp it before
It is clear as day now
Nowhere left to r u n
Even if I tried, I can no longer hide
The growing ache reaching for you
As peace sits at the center of me
Underneath the need for destruction
The kind that seeps
and
s p r e a d s luxuriously

like warm sunlight filtering onto resting
s k i n

Becoming
fluid shadows shimmering on lake water
Lapping at our naked limbs
Lips pressed into each other
flowers preserved in heavy
Books
We curve and fit our intertwining bodies
over crisp cotton sheets
The shape of us imprinted
Our scents fusing
r e l e a s i n g
settling into bed creases
Sweat
staining white
our shared language
a comfort
Reflected in shining eyes and warm smiles
In letting go, the steady rhythm c a l m s
The deep fear of
hurting you
ultimately
losing you
into a gentle reminder
Of being here
