There’s a space here for you
Inside the beat of my life
Whenever the day hushes into dusk
Patiently waiting
for starlight to shimmer
And the moon,
as passages of cycles murmurs soft and low
Holding our heaviness
My eyes will roam each constellation
Chest held in warm ache
Searching ad infinitum
Until grief’s fingers pluck wildflowers
Scattering into wind
Each bloom a soft dynamite of impossibility
