An empty vase,
Organic in shape,
Sits there staring.
All smooth loops and rounded corners,
Making a statement,
Against the rectangular mid century table.
Their fates,
Intersecting at the precise middle of the table.
On a particular date,
A specific date,
Where,
Flat circular bottom,
Touches flat wooden surface.
In that moment of firsts,
Embracing,
There lays a sense of,
Belonging,
Here,
In the present,
That will extend through years.
Even in the blur of living life.
Stability anchored,
In a vase on a table.
As time passes,
When we look back,
Will we remember this exact moment of firsts?
